Helmut Zemo, known as Baron Zemo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is a Sokovian nobleman who seeks to eradicate super-powered individuals following the devastation his country suffered during the Avengers' battle against Ultron.
His first appearance in the MCU was in the film *Captain America: Civil War*, where he masterminded the conflict between Captain America and Iron Man by revealing the truth about the Winter Soldier's involvement in the death of Tony Stark's parents.
